Golden Shell Awardee 1992  

The Golden Shell Award is the highest honor bestowed on Filipino companies for excellence in exports. It was launched by the Department of Trade and Industry in 1982 and since then, 89 companies have been recipients of the Golden Shell.

The award seeks to recognize "global operators" who have excelled in exports and have initiated a variety of activities to improve their competitiveness, with a strategy of becoming "world class" as good as the best companies in their respective industries.

Over-all efficiency in the important facets of exporting, such as quality management, manufacturing, research and development, product quality and marketing were the major factors in choosing the winners.

Top Sectoral Export Performer Citation 1998

Marcel Trading Corporation was awarded by The Export Development Council for being the 1998 top export sales grosser in the carrageenan & seaweed category.

In recognition of its extensive rural linkage and its continuous efforts in research and development to further explore and upgrade the various application of carrageenan as a highly exportable item and its strong commitment to national growth and economic development through competitive Philippine export.
